May 14, 2019 – United Methodist clergy and laity went to the Tennessee State Capitol to deliver a letter from Bishop Bill McAlilly (Nashville Episcopal Area) and Bishop Mary Virginia Taylor (Holston Conference) asking Governor Bill Lee to spare the life of Donnie Johnson, scheduled to be executed on May 16, 2019.
