In an effort to assist Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s protests to an oil pipeline proposed to run through tribal land in North and South Dakota, the Committee on Native American Ministries of the TN Conference is sending hygiene supplies to the protesters based at the camps.

Needs of the camps at Standing Rock are pressing.  If you would like to bring hygiene items such as soaps, hotel-size shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants and female sanitary hygiene products to the TN Conference office to be delivered to Standing Rock, please contact Mary T Newman, Coordinator of Native American & Ethnic Ministries, at mtnewman@tnumc.org or 615-329-1177 ext. 2760 for details.
