The Executive Committee of the CCOCM expresses thanks for Bettye Lewis’ leadership over eight years in the conference office. Bettye’s ministry in the Tennessee Annual Conference included local church leadership as well as district and conference leadership. Her hard work at all levels within the conference is a credit to her commitment to and faith in Jesus Christ.
The Executive Committee in appreciation for Bettye’s service has nominated her for an Order of Saint Andrew Award. The Order of Saint Andrew, in addition to recognizing excellent leadership within the Tennessee Annual Conference, provides scholarships for students wishing to pursue pastoral ministry.
In addition to a lovely luncheon with conference staff, Bettye was recognized and honored at Warmth in Winter by 2400 youth and adults this January as well as at the 5th Sunday Service with the Tennessee Conference Black Methodist for Church Renewal (BMCR) at Gordon Memorial UMC.
We would like to extend two additional opportunities to you to express your personal thanks for Bettye’s service.
You may contribute to the Order of Saint Andrew account that we have set up in Bettye’s honor. Contributions may be sent to The United Methodist Foundation, 304 S. Perimeter Park Dr., Suite 3, Nashville, TN 37211-4161. A note of recognition for your appreciation will be forwarded to Bettye.
Or you can send a personal note of thanks to the Tennessee Annual Conference at 304 S. Perimeter Dr., Nashville, TN 37211-4161. All notes and cards will be gathered and forwarded to Bettye.
