Tennessee ‘Act of Repentance’ Event Planned for Nov. 12

Invitation from Bishop McAlilly

“…And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
– Micah 6:8

Across the history of the United States of America, we have seen persecution of innocent people. Innocent, indigenous people have been ridiculed, displaced, and murdered. In many cases, good Christian people were silent.

As a part of our desire to follow the path that Micah laid before us, “to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God,” we seek to participate with our Native American sisters and brothers in an Act of Repentance on November 12.

Mark your calendar and join us as we offer our prayers to our Creator, seeking to repent for the sins of our fathers and mothers. Details about the November 12 event will be available soon at www.tnumc.com.
