Lila Beasley: Stones River District Lay Leader
Lila Beasley is a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church in Bedford County. She is currently serving as President of the Murfreesboro District United Methodist Women. Lila enjoys teaching Spiritual Growth mission studies.
Lila is a recently retired consultant with the Tennessee Department of Education School Nutrition Division. She enjoyed her work in this area but retirement is WONDERFUL.
“Retirement has allowed me to become more active in the work of the Methodist Church on a District and Conference level. As District Lay Leader, I have had the most amazing experiences at the Charge Conferences of the 92 Murfreesboro District Churches. The mission work of the congregations, both small and large, is beyond belief. We often hear comments regarding the dying church. The United Methodist Churches of the Murfreesboro District are alive and well.”
Lila lives on a farm in Bedford County, Tennessee with her husband of 44 years. She is mother of one and grandmother of two.
