Many of the Southeast Jurisdiction (SEJ) Heads of Delegations signed the below statement of support for the proposed Protocol of Grace & Reconciliation Through Separation. The heads of the Tennessee Conference delegation, Rev. Harriet Bryan and Jim Allen are among those who signed the statement. The SEJ Heads of Delegations have had three face-to-face meetings.

A copy of the statement also was sent to the Commission on General Conference as they consider their work of creating the agenda for the General Conference.

Statement from SEJ Heads of Delegation regarding Protocol:

We, the undersigned SEJ Lay and Clergy Heads of Delegations, affirm the work done on the ‘Protocol of Grace & Reconciliation Through Separation’ and recommend the Protocol be among the first legislative items considered by General Conference 2020.  We look forward to seeing the related legislation and give thanks to those who did this work on our behalf.
