Our Mission:
The mission of the Youth Ministry of the Tennessee Conference is to help young people discover their gifts, be equipped to use those gifts, connect them with opportunities to utilize their gifts and send them out to offer Jesus Christ to a hurting world, one neighborhood at a time.
Goals:
- Provide opportunities to develop the gifts and talents of youth and adults for spiritual leadership in making disciples.
- Foster a Culture of Call that helps youth discover how God has uniquely equipped them for ministry in the world.
- Provide training for youth ministry leaders on the best practices in youth faith formation.
- Provide training for youth ministry leaders in the necessity of team based ministry.
- Help youth have opportunities for voicing their concerns in the United Methodist Church. Spark the continuing spiritual formation of youth in the local church by providing connectional events that supplement local youth ministries. These events provide fun, fellowship, mission, training, new ideas, and new experiences of faith.
- Connect people, groups and congregations for mutual support and to extend youth ministry to the communities.
- Help form partnerships that strengthen congregations with fewer resources.
Discover. Connect. Equip. Send.
We offer a variety of opportunities for youth and youth ministry leaders to come together for fellowship, fun, leadership development, spiritual formation, and worship. We believe in collaborative leadership between youth and adults.
