NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 2, 2017)—After almost a decade, Miriam’s Promise is moving the offices of the mid-state pregnancy, parenting and adoption services agency from Tulip Street United Methodist Church in East Nashville to the Scarritt Bennett Center campus off 21st Avenue in Nashville, according to agency executive director, Debbie Robinson.

The Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church voted in June of 2016 to close Tulip Street UMC as a congregation resulting in the sale of the building. After an extensive search, Robinson announced the move of Miriam’s Promise to Scarritt Hall on the beautiful campus of the historic Scarritt Bennett Center.

“We are so pleased to be moving to this beautiful campus. This peaceful environment will help us serve our clients in a warm and inviting new space,” Robinson said. “We have loved being in East Nashville and thank the Tulip Street congregation for their grace and hospitality. Our new home promises to be just as cozy and inviting. The staff of Scarritt Bennett have been so accommodating, kind and welcoming and we are excited to be in partnership with them.”

Scarrit Bennett Center Interim Executive Director Sarah Wilke welcomes the nonprofit to their campus.

“We are excited to have Miriam’s Promise as a part of the Scarritt Bennett Center campus. There is so much opportunity for shared vision and collaboration among our nonprofit ministries,” Wilke said.

Miriam’s Promise will be closed the week of August 14th and will reopen their new office on Monday, August 21st in Scarritt Hall at 1008 19th Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee (37212). An open house will be held in early fall.

Since 1985, Miriam’s Promise has offered hope and healing to thousands of Middle Tennessee expectant parents, children and adoptive families who are coping with issues of grief, loss and transition. The heart of Miriam’s Promise mission is to ensure the well-being of the child by nurturing individuals and families and is met by offering pregnancy counseling, parenting coaching and adoption services.
