The Nashville Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church offers Safe Gatherings as a resource to help congregations and ministries provide safe places of worship, education, fellowship and missions for everyone they serve. As part of the program, Safe Gatherings processes multiple levels of background checks. But you may be asking, what should I really know about background checks, and why run them on volunteers?
