The Nashville Area Office of Ministerial Concerns is pleased to announce the hiring of Heidi S. Geib as Assistant Director.
Heidi is a native of Rochester, New York, and a lifelong United Methodist. For the last seventeen years, she has been a committed layperson in the Tennessee Annual Conference, being active in churches in Decherd, Murfreesboro, and now Calvary UMC in Nashville. In addition to volunteering and teaching in local congregations, Heidi has served the church on the Murfreesboro District Committee on Ministry, as a past president of the Tennessee Conference Ministers’ Mates, and from 2007-2013, she worked as the Program Coordinator for the Murfreesboro District Office.
Heidi holds a B.A. from United Methodist-related DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She earned an M.Div. from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, a Th.M. in New Testament Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, and completed an M.A. and her Ph.D. qualifying exams in New Testament and Early Christian Origins at Vanderbilt University. She is married to Bryan Brooks and they have two teenage daughters, Belinda Grace and Charlotte.
