Missional Faith Communities

The Tennessee Conference is committed to supporting Missional Faith Communities.

Some of our current expressions of these ministries include the following:

  • Community Cares Fellowship
  • Gallatin Cares Worship Center
  • Trinity Community Commons
  • Resource Coordinators through Open Table Nashville
  • Nashville District Street Ministry to those experiencing homelessness
  • Circle of Grace Ministry at the Women’s Prison

The leaders of these faith communities serve in ministry with a variety of people from all walks of life – many of whom face challenges of meeting their daily needs to survive. They begin with relationships formed through listening, shared meals, prayer requests, learning opportunities and worship.

Lynn Taylor currently leads the team working with Missional Faith Communities.

The Tennessee Conference will also be launching additional outreach ministries under the umbrella of Fresh Expressions. These new efforts will be focused on reaching those in our communities not currently connected to a church. Read more about Fresh Expressions.
