Adult/Older Adult Ministries

Adult/Older Adult Ministries serves to advocate for older adult concerns and issues, offers opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth and study with older adults across the Tennessee Conference.

This ministry provides training and consultations for leaders working with older adults, and advocates for the development and implementation of policies and services designed to impact systems that affect older adults.

GC_LOGO_Big2An extension ministry of the conference, the Golden Cross Foundation’s purpose is to provide 1) assistance in funding new and ongoing ministries and services with Older Adults in the Tennessee Conference; and 2) expertise and strategic planning to the Tennessee Conference for the expansion of innovative and effective ministries with Older Adults.

The Golden Cross Foundation is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors with representatives from all seven districts of the Tennessee Conference.

United Methodist Men (UMM)

The UMM mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.

UMM is working to implement a new model and vision of men’s ministry. We believe that the result will be men involved in all four areas of focus which will reach the world for Christ. United Methodist Men are responding to the following four areas of focus:

  • Leadership Development
  • Church Renewal
  • Ministry with the Poor
  • Global Health
