How to Help After ICE Raids

In light of the recent ICE raids in the Mississippi community, local organizations have come together and developed a strategic plan to assist our neighbors who have been affected by the raids. Below is a list of places needing your assistance along with addresses to deliver/mail donations, and additional volunteer opportunities.

Giving Options for ICE-Impacted Assistance for Children
People can support the ongoing efforts in helping impacted families and children by:

  1. Mailing a check to Mississippi Conference of the UMC, 320-C Briarwood Drive, Attention: James Mason, Jackson, MS 39206. Please annotate “4ICE-Children” in the memo line of the check.
  2. Making a fee-free donation using the PayPal Giving Fund website.
  3. Sending an electronic donation via PayPal to paypal@mississippi-umc.org. Please annotate “4ICE-Children” in the notes section of the transfer.

Donations can be mailed to the PO box or dropped off at the church office between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday-Friday. This money will be used to purchase food and supplies to be disturbed in Morton and pay utility bills for those affected.
