It was exciting for TSU Wesley Foundation to engage both student leadership and board of directors together in strategic planning, refreshing our vision and goals. Our program calendar is set and we are energized in campus ministry!
We have canvased the campus to engage freshmen, celebrate friendships and sign up for our fall semester ministries. We kicked off our first worship Sunday service, bible study gatherings and new Courageous Conversations around building healthy relationships, called Chips and Chatter. We will travel to the UMC National Network of Young Adults Leading in Transformation Conference in September for leadership development. Our Red River District partners with us in meaningful community service. We also partner this semester with a neighborhood elementary school to provide a mentoring program designed and led by our Wesley student leadership. One of our student leaders who is exploring his call as a social justice advocate within the National Education Association engages us in voter registration drives.
We love. We learn. We lead.
