About the speaker: Cuban American author, Justo L. Gonzalez, is widely recognized for his work in Hispanic theology, historical theology, and Methodist history. He has published over 100 books, including the highly praised three-volume History of Christian Thought. Dr. Gonzalez attended United Seminary in Cuba, received his M.A. at Yale University, and was the youngest person to be awarded a Ph.D. in historical theology at Yale. He is an ordained United Methodist minister and scholar. Over the past thirty years he focused on developing programs for the theological education of Hispanics and has received four honorary doctorates. Dr. Gonzalez is now retired but has served as an adjunct professor of history at Columbia Theological Seminary and the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta.
