HURRICANE MATTHEW

Hurricane
Thank you to everyone who has already reached out to us on how to respond to those affected by Hurricane Matthew. At this early stage, damage is still being assessed so that an appropriate response can be put together.

We will communicate any need for volunteer deployment as soon as it is available to us.

The Tennessee conference has one Early Response team deployed to South Carolina and we are working with trained ERT’s for additional deployment as requests are made.

As needs are communicated to us, we will let you know specifically what kinds of supplies or kits are needed by our UMCOR warehouses, at this time there is NOT a need.

In the meantime, there are a couple of things you can do:

  1. Pray. Our friends and partners across the Caribbean, and up the Eastern Seaboard need our genuine prayers in the days, months, and years to come.
  2. Donate. UMCOR has Advance numbers set up for both international and domestic disaster response.
