Most of Jesus' ministry was spent outside of the local synagogue, directly impacting people in the countryside and marketplace of His first century world. It was a successful strategy that launched the Christian Church worldwide.
Volunteers In Mission uses this same philosophy of taking the love, compassion, and giving nature that Jesus showed to people who might be as close as our neighborhood or as far away as a distant continent. Volunteers In Mission exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exempify "Christian Love in Action". VIM provides opportunities for service through short term mission projects.
You are invited to join our VIM newsletter list to keep up to date on VIM happenings. This is an exciting ministry and you are invited to be part of it. There are many ways to be a part of UMVIM. Among them are
- serving as a short term team member,
- financially supporting this work,
- praying for the teams and the people they serve,
- collecting items needed for the particular team mission such as used eye glasses.
