Franklin 1st UMC seeks nursery staff

There are currently 2 Church Nursery Ministry staff positions available for immediate employment at Franklin 1st UMC in downtown Franklin, TN. Persons applying need to be calm, responsible, and love to be around very young children. Persons must provide a hospitable nature to parents and appropriate response to the variety of temperaments of children and Nursery settings. Persons needed for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights (during the school year), and other hours as needed.

Trinity Church seeks part-time Dir. of Children's Min.

Trinity Church (a launch of Brentwood United Methodist) in Spring Hill, TN is looking for a part-time Director of Children’s Ministry, serving ages 0-11. We are looking for someone with a passion for children, a love for God, lots of energy, and desire to see lives changed. Applicant must have experience in successfully recruiting, empowering, and retaining volunteers; great relational skills; and ability to speak in front of kids ages 5 -11.

Current format includes small group component with a missional and Christian growth emphasis and a large group component with Children’s worship leader and a venue which includes a stage, sound system, video projector, and screen. This large-group format also has a small group component as well. Position also requires overseeing two areas (nursery & toddler) with currently three child care workers.

Hours include 7:30am - 12:30pm on Sundays. Current goals include: 1) Provide children with a safe learning environment where they can experience and learn Biblical foundations and values, 2) Partner with parents to teach children that God loves them and wants to have a relationship with them, 3) Present opportunities for children to learn and actively serve and help others both locally and globally by sharing the love of Christ, 4) Instill in children the idea that worshipping and following God is FUN even at Church! The balance of hours should be spent planning, communication, empowering volunteers and special events. (usually 15 hours per week) Background check required.

St. Luke's UMC (Memphis) seeks Dir. of Music

St. Luke’s UMC, Memphis, TN, is seeking a full-time Director of Music Ministries. The Director of Music Ministries will be part of a ministerial team to plan worship experiences for the church and direct or supervise all areas of the music ministry program. The Director will be committed to integrating a variety of music and the arts into worship and will possess strong collaborative skills and enthusiasm for being part of a worship team.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing the adult Chanel Choir, Senior Adult Choir, children’s choirs, Wesley Bells and leading congregational music in worship. Job skills and requirements include a degree in Music with an emphasis in choral conducting (Masters Degree preferred) and experience in a church setting with volunteer choirs. Base Salary: $40,000 plus benefits.

Cedar Crest Camp seeks summer nurse

Cedar Crest Camp located in Lyles, Tennessee is looking for a nurse for the 2012 summer camp season. The position requires living on-site. We are searching for a nurse to implement our Health Care Plan. Responsibilities include providing daily health and medical care such as dispersing medications, basic first aid, documenting treatments and screening campers as part of registration.
