Gordon Memorial UMMen award Bishop Lifetime Membership Award (from TNUMConnects 7/28/11)

The United Methodist Men at Gordon Memorial UMC awarded Bishop William W. Morris the Lifetime Membership Award for his outstanding and exemplary leadership in their unit while serving as interim pastor from September 2010 through June 2011.
Gordon UMMen President Robert Bostick indicates “Bishop Morris has done an excellent job as pastor of our church for the last nine months. He has been a personal inspiration to me and our men’s ministry. Bishop Morris leads by example, attending our meetings, supporting our activities, and exhorting us to be better hearers and doers of the Word of God. His efforts here at Gordon Memorial are greatly appreciated, and he will be deeply missed.”
