Asbury-Baab House House was being de-constructed to preserve and repair the building. Will then be re-constructed on a concrete foundation to secure its structural integrity. Work was authorized by the Commission on Archives and History in 2007.

Asbury Baab House after removal of logs the restoration of Asbury-Babb House, a log cabin over 200 years old which was the site of Francis Asbury�s last official church conference in 1815. Francis Asbury is known in Methodism as the first American bishop. It is one of four properties owned by the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church. Upkeep of the properties is under the oversight of the Commission on Archives and History.
